Uncensored api quickstart guide

Prerequisites and base URL

Start by sending requests to our dedicated base URL. We provide a single uncensored model ID that works with standard OpenAI SDKs.

• Model ID: uncensored

You need an API key from the dashboard. The endpoint supports standard chat completions only.

Auth header configuration

Include your API key in the Authorization header for every request. Use the Bearer scheme to authenticate your account.

• Header: Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY

Keep this key secure. You can generate a new key at any time from your account settings.

Sending your first chat completion

Make a POST request to /v1/chat/completions with your system and user messages. The API returns a text response based on your prompt.

Input tokens cost $0.15 per 1M tokens. Output tokens cost $0.50 per 1M tokens. Errors do not consume credit.

Handling streaming responses

Enable streaming by setting stream: true in your request. The API sends server-sent events (SSE) for real-time token delivery.

Each chunk contains partial text. The final chunk includes total token usage for billing transparency.
